Base-builder tower defense Block Fortress 2 is coming to Steam April 17!
Following their popular mobile game lineup, Foursaken Media has introduced a unique take on the base-building genre. Block Fortress 2 combines block building, tower defense, and both FPS and TPS gameplay. In the Blockverse, each mission begins with a deployment phase during which you can set up your base defenses. Here you can use different types of blocks, including turrets, shield generators, zip lines, and mines. Use them all strategically to protect your base from incoming enemies.
In Block Fortress 2, you can switch between first-person and third-person shooting modes to suit your preferences. You will also be able to choose from a wide arsenal of weapons to take down your enemies. As well as being a great builder, you also need to be a great fighter to survive in the Blockverse.
Block Fortress 2 introduces multiple gameplay modes. In survival mode, players are challenged to conquer ten different planetary biomes. In doing so, you’ll have to contend with dangerous weather, lava, and monsters. By completing missions, you’ll earn experience points and special achievements. Level up your character to unlock new items, and collect special blocks, equipment, bots, and furniture to decorate your home.
In Sandbox mode, you can create anything you can think of. You can choose the planet’s terrain, terraform the map, customize enemy types and attacks, and set battle messages to your liking – anything goes in this mode. You can even share your creations and download those of other players online.
Block Fortress 2 is coming to Steam on April 17.
