Cardfight!! Vanguard Stride Deckset: Shiranui
In June and July 2023, we took a closer look at the first two Stride Decksets for the Standard format of Cardfight!! Vanguard, with the Chronojet Stride Deckset and the Messiah Stride Deckset each representing a different nation. Players who played other and older formats were already familiar with the Stride mechanics, but those who started their Cardfight!! Vanguard careers in the Standard format are now also able to make use of the Stride mechanics. This time, it’s Dragon Empire’s turn for its very own Stride Deckset with Shiranui dominating the battlefield. Just like the previous Stride Decksets, Shiranui’s version also comes in two variations. You’ll have the standard set, which includes a nifty storage box, a full Shiranui Deck, and sleeves with gorgeous artwork. Players who want to add a bit more bling to their deck might want to look into the Premium version of the Shiranui Stride Deckset. In this version, you’ll find awesome goodies such as a fully foiled Shiranui deck, a sturdy premium deck box, a playmat, special sleeves, and so on. This also comes in a bigger and very sturdy storage box that allows you to store all your Cardfight!! Vanguard cards.
With the release of the Shiranui Stride Deckset also comes a new mechanic for the Standard format, namely the ‘Dominate’ mechanic. Dominating allows you to take over the opposing player’s Rear-Guards and even their Vanguard! When Dominating, you’ll be able to perform additional attacks and even Drive Checks thanks to your G unit abilities. This adds a new layer of strategy to the game, as you’ll probably want to manage your resources to make sure you can Dominate your opponent in the battles to come. If you play your cards right (pun intended), you will be able to perform your Dominate skill several times in your turn, making sure you can turn the tide of your Cardfight!! Vanguard battle.
Just like the previous Stride Decksets, the Shiranui Stride Deckset presents Cardfight!! Vanguard players with a highly competitive deck. The Dominate mechanic is a new fun way of overcoming your opponent in a hectic Cardfight!! Vanguard battle. Of course, as always, there are still plenty of options to further customize this fun Stride Deckset via additional Booster Packs. The Shiranui deck is certainly an investment worth making, as it allows you to jump into the battles immediately while you gradually further customize your deck!
