Everhood 2 dances its way onto Switch and PC today

Everhood 2, the sequel to the unconventional action RPG Everhood, is now available on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. Developed by Foreign Gnomes, the original game, released four years ago, was a well-received indie title that sold over 600,000 copies. In its sequel, players embark on a surreal journey through multiple realities, encountering unique characters such as carrot magicians, Joan of Arc, divine mushrooms, and the enigmatic Mind Dragon, a being determined to bring existential ruin to all universes. The game features rhythm-based combat with over 100 songs. Players must navigate enemy attack patterns, dodge incoming assaults, and counterattack using color-coded energy that transforms unbroken combos into powerful offensive moves.

A variety of weapons, including the Moon Blades and Skull Axe, can be collected and upgraded. Along the way, players will meet a diverse cast of characters, some inspired by historical and philosophical figures like Carl Jung, Rasputin, and Terrance McKenna. The adventure unfolds across multiple worlds, including the war-torn Vegetable Kingdom, futuristic realities, and the pocket dimension of an all-knowing entity. A celestial raven acts as a guide while players work alongside companions to confront the Mind Dragon. Everhood 2 is available now on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch in North American and European territories for $14.99. We’ll have a review of the game up very soon, so be sure to come back and check that out!
