Experience a love letter to 80s gaming in 2D platformer Narita Boy

Today Team17 and Studio Koba launch Narita Boy, their retro 2D platformer that has been described as a love letter to the 1980s. The game manages to perfectly encapsulate the arcade gaming experience, both in gameplay and aesthetic. Using a combination of the Techno-sword and magic, blast through your enemies as you attempt to save the Digital Kingdom from those that threaten its future. As an added bonus Narita Boy has been made in conjecture with ‘Saving The Arcade World’, a campaign created by Team17 and Studio Koba to raise awareness of the need to preserve arcades and arcade games. Parts of the profit from both the game and its soundtrack are being donated to the campaign.

Narita Boy is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A trailer for the game can be seen down below.
