Full 1.0 Version of The Crust goes live after 7 years of development
Seven years is a significant amount of time for a video game to be in development. The Crust, a colony sim about building a lunar base developed by VEOM Studio and Crytivo, entered Early Access in the summer of 2024 to further refine itself based on player feedback. Now, more than two years later – and yes, seven years into the development as a whole – they’re proud to announce that a full 1.0 version has dropped. In this game, players can enjoy building their own lunar colony, using mechanics to automate every process, while playing through the story campaign. Both managing your colonists and their needs, as well as the politics of trading with Earth or other factions, are important features. The Crust also boasts full voice acting in nine languages, which is a nice touch. More content will definitely be added, though you can get the game on Steam at a 35% discount to celebrate the launch, so if it looks interesting based on the trailer below, we recommend not waiting too long.
