Kaya’s Prophecy gets a demo soon

Developers Jérémie & Thibaut and publisher Yogscast Games have revealed Kaya’s Prophecy, an upcoming game that combines card-based village building with deckbuilding combat, offering a mix of strategic planning and survival mechanics. Players will manage resources, craft decks, and expand their village while navigating the whims of a demanding deity. Succeeding requires careful planning—after all, an angry god might unleash devastating consequences on the villagers. Balancing sacrifices and survival will test players’ strategic skills as they strive to build a flourishing community.

Set in a treacherous jungle, Kaya’s Prophecy tasks players with leading their tribe to prosperity, armed with a deck of cards and strategic resource management. Success hinges on balancing the growth of the community with the ever-present need to appease a watchful god. As the village evolves, players can unlock new technologies, tools, and structures to improve daily life—with divine approval, of course. Exploring uncharted territories offers opportunities to gather new materials and uncover valuable rewards, provided players can overcome the dangers that await. Kaya’s Prophecy will be featured in February’s Steam Next Fest, where players can experience its unique blend of challenges. A demo for the game will be available during the February Steam Next Fest, starting February 24, 2025.
