New terms and conditions initiative started by the developers of Habbo

Yesterday at the European Commission’s annual Safer Internet Day Sulake, the developer of Habbo, detailed its findings on how to make those long and boring terms and conditions more palatable for a younger audience.

The information in these terms and conditions pages are very boring to read. Most of the people will just bin them or even ignore them and just click “accept” while it’s quite important to know what you just agreed to.

Sulake has now released a video containing a summarized version of the terms and conditions of Habbo. This is now a part of the new user tutorial inside the game. While they state that you should read the full terms and conditions on their website, with this video they have laid out the most important things to be easily viewable by all audiences, young and old. The video can be watched below this post.
