We always have a powerbank or two lying around for when we are on the road, and we always love trying out new ones that offer more features, quick-charge support, or even greater comfort. Last year, we tried out NEWDERY’s 20000 mAh Magnetic Power Bank, and we loved working with this heavy-duty wireless device, which only suffered from a cheap plastic finish. Today, we’ll ditch the wireless capabilities for a heavy-duty powerbank that supports super-fast charging with a built-in cable. While there were a few smaller flaws, we were really impressed by the quality of Sandberg’s All-in1 Powerbank 27000 PD 240W.

Design

In terms of design, the All-in1 Powerbank 27000 PD 240W has a very simple design, which is perfectly fine for a heavy-duty powerbank such as this. You’ll be treated to a beam-shaped device that doesn’t have too many noticeable features. Only the short, attached cable, the power button, the textured bottom side, and the small display will truly stand out here. The display is clear, which is pretty much all we want in this scenario. The additional ports are also clearly marked, albeit with a faulty label. The USB-A port says USB-C, and vice versa.

Comfort

Sandberg’s powerbank is still fairly portable, but it does weigh around 615 grams, which might not be that comfortable for everyone. We didn’t mind the little extra weight for the extra power and charging speed we got out of it. The embedded cable is perhaps a bit short, but if it were too long, it would also make things less practical to store or to carry around. The dimensions are 15,5 cm x 5 cm x 4,3 cm, still making it reasonably small, but slightly larger than NEWDERY’s 20000 mAh Magnetic Power Bank. The biggest plus here is not needing an additional cable to be able to charge your USB-C devices.

Overview

As far as powerbanks go, Sandberg’s All-in1 Powerbank 27000 PD 240W was a beast during the weeks we tried it out. You simply charge the powerbank, and you’re good to go. For reference, the powerbank was able to charge our smartphone around six times on a full charge, which is quite impressive. On top of that, it supports super-fast charging, which is an absolute delight when you’re on the go and your phone is running low on power. We also used the powerbank in combination with our Steam Deck and our Switch 2. In case of the Steam Deck, traditional powerbanks often don’t charge quickly enough, and simply keep the battery level stable or still see a slight decline. With Sandberg’s device, the Steam Deck would increase its battery percentage when we were actively playing heavier games. We simply wished the attached cable were just a tiny bit longer. Of course, you can still attach your own cable to any of the other two available ports. We could delve heavily into the specs, but there’s not much more we can add than what the above-mentioned spec list already highlights. This is a heavy-duty device, and it functions amazingly well.

We did quite enjoy having the small screen show us the output, input, and battery life of the powerbank itself, but we did run into a bit of a software issue. When we charged specific phones with it, or when we charged a device while the powerbank itself was charging, the battery life indicator would be stuck at a fixed percentage until it completely died. Then, when we charged the device again, the issue would be solved until we replicated the same conditions. While this wasn’t a huge issue, it was a bit annoying at times and is still very much worth mentioning.

Conclusion

Sandberg’s All-in1 Powerbank 27000 PD 240W is an amazing powerbank that is great to take with you on casual outings, longer trips, and also for gaming purposes. We loved using the device in combination with our Steam Deck or other portables, making it a great gaming and travel companion. While the price might be a bit higher than traditional powerbanks, the rapid-charge capabilities and higher battery capacity are certainly worth it.
