Sennheiser pushes MOMENTUM 3 and 4 to the next level with new firmware!
Sennheiser, the leading audio brand, has announced the release of its latest Smart Control App and firmware updates. The MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 earphones and MOMENTUM 4 Wireless headphones can now deliver an even more personalized listening experience. The Smart Control App introduces additional features to the headphones via firmware updates and is available on both iOS and Android devices. The Smart Control App offers two ways to personalize the listening experience for each user. Firstly, the app includes an expanded equalization section with a five-band equalizer that adds low-mid and high-mid sliders to the existing low, mid, and high controls. Secondly, the app provides an interactive Sound Personalization mode that cleverly calibrates a customized audio profile based on the user’s responses to a set of audio samples. The Sound Personalization mode is based on more than a decade of research by the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT in Oldenburg, Germany, into individual listening preferences.
The MOMENTUM 4 Wireless update also includes a higher-resolution sound mode that supports up to 24-bit depth and 96kHz samplerate via Bluetooth connectivity. Users can enjoy wired-level sound quality on audio sources similarly using aptX™ Adaptive. The update also includes a smart Fit Test that helps listeners obtain the ideal seal for their MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 earbuds. With the app-guided audio cues and included ear adapter kit, users can set the perfect fit for immersive sound and the most effective seal for active noise cancellation. This latest round of updates, available in version 4.3 and higher of the Smart Control App, includes numerous optimizations for faster device pairing, improved app stability, faster over-the-air firmware updates, and a host of other fixes and improvements. The MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 features are available on firmware version 2.12.33 and above, while MOMENTUM 4 Wireless features are available on firmware version 2.13.18 and above.
