Crossout recharges itself with a game engine upgrade!

Post-apocalyptic action title Crossout will be getting an upgrade of its game engine when the game releases its next major update later this month. The announcement was made today by Gajin Entertainment, who revealed that by switching to the Targem Engine 2.0, Crossout will be getting a complete overhaul. With reworked lighting and shadows, visual effects, physical models, color palette, interface, and controls, players can look forward to a completely new visual and gaming experience. The update does not change the game’s system requirements nor does it alter Crossout’s performance. The update, titled Crossout: Supercharged, will be available on all platforms, including PS4 and Xbox One.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Crossout is an MMO vehicle combat game available offering players complete customization in building and upgrading deadly armored vehicles to destroy enemies in open PvP and PvE battles. Crossout gives players thousands of possibilities to design their vehicle, including shape, armor, weapons, support systems, and, of course, cosmetic enhancements. In Crossout: Supercharged, each post-apocalyptic armored vehicle, carefully assembled by the player from thousands of available parts, will behave even more different than before. More detailed information about the technical, artistic, interface, and other changes to the game that the Crossout: Supercharged update will bring will be published on the official website of the game in the coming weeks. Crossout is available as a free-to-play title on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
