Cardfight!! Vanguard DZ Booster Pack 05: Omniscient Awakening
Time flies when you have a busy schedule, balancing between work, videogames, and of course your favorite TCGs. Only recently, we were tinkering with our decks for the release of DZ Booster Pack 04: Destined Showdown, and now DZ Booster Pack 05: Omniscient Awakening is already gearing up to present us with new deck recipes and support cards for other decks. As always, we love to discuss everything this set has to offer, but we’ll have to focus on a few key cards instead, making sure there’s still a lot to discover for Cardfight!! Vanguard enthusiasts!
A few new interesting Vanguards enter the fray with Vanguard units such as Unparalleled Drekasleif, Varga Dragres “Rakshasa”, Destined One of Time, Liael゠Odium, Fated King of Miracles, Rezael Vita, Destined King of Infinity, Levidras Empireo, and Inferno of Dust Storm, Eugene. Many of these new Vanguards are also considered to be the same name as older Vanguard cards with the same name type, such as Fated One of Miracles, Rezael. Thanks to this, you’ll be able to give your older decks a significant boost with these new cards.
While this set introduces quite a few new unit cards, DZ Booster Pack 05: Omniscient Awakening feels like a great support set for those who are heavily invested in their Cardfight!! Vanguard decks that make use of Divine Skills. Having additional options available boosts existing decks, making sure they remain future-proof for the time being. DZ Booster Pack 05 and DZ Booster Pack 04: Destined Showdown have a great synergy thanks to this, and it also allows new players to come up with competitive deck recipes with cards that are still readily available. We quite enjoyed being able to work out the final kinks in recent decks, making them ready for the upcoming challenges.
If you want to try out your newly created deck, be sure to check out local events via the official Bushi Navi app. Here you can find active game stores that host events, and it’s a great way to meet new Cardfight!! Vanguard players. It’s also an interesting way of trading with other players in order to find those few cards you’re missing. If you decide to join official events, you have the opportunity to win exclusive promo cards, special tournament playmats, and even unique sleeves. It’s a great way to get into the hobby and learn more about the interesting world of Cardfight!! Vanguard.
