Cardfight!! Vanguard Special Series 02: Stride Deckset -Harri-
We have taken a closer look at some of Cardfight!! Vanguard’s Stride Decksets in the past, such as Shiranui, Chronojet, Luard, and Messiah. So far, we have quite enjoyed the reintroduction of the Stride mechanics, as they provide players with even more deck construction options. Now, recently, two new Stride Decksets were released, featuring Harri and Nightrose. This short article will focus on the Harri Stride Deckset and its contents. If you are unfamiliar with the Stride mechanics, we suggest reading our original Chronojet article by clicking here.
Just like the previous Stride Decksets, they come in two variants. You’ll have the regular edition, which comes in a sturdy storage box with Harri-themed sleeves, an energy crest, and a sheet of fighter’s coins. This is a deck that can be played out of the box, and you can immediately sleeve it, making sure you have all the necessary items to immediately dive into a (standard) Cardfight!! Vanguard match. If you were a player who was already looking forward to the release of the Cardfight!! Vanguard Special Series 02: Stride Deckset -Harri-, you might want to consider picking up the Premium version of the deck. You’ll get additional goodies, such as a rubber playmat, a bigger storage box, a premium deck holder, and quite a few other premium items. On top of that, the deck itself will only contain foiled cards.
The Harri Stride Deckset introduces a new keyword to the Standard format of Cardfight!! Vanguard. In this case, that’s ‘Magia’, which is a typical Pale Moon keyword. To simplify it, it basically has to do with calling units from your Vanguard’s Soul, which will have to return to the Soul at the end of the turn. It’s a keyword that not only allows you to squeeze in a few more attacks during your turn, but it also helps keep your called units safe by returning them back to the Soul afterwards. Your field (and Soul) setup will still take some time, but an early Soul Charge of a certain unit means you can probably still use it at a later stage in the match. It’s a fun principle when you have an additional option to call Rear-Guards from. It takes some time to master the unit juggling here, but it’s extremely satisfying when you can pull off a few impressive combos.
As mentioned in prior articles, these Stride Decksets are ready-to-go competitive decks that will allow you to play Cardfight!! Vanguard with ease. You’ll have a fully functional deck at your fingertips, and you’ll give other players a challenging experience. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you’ll be stuck with the same cards for eternity, as you can easily customize this deckset with cards from old and new Booster Packs.
