Cardfight!! Vanguard Stand Up Deckset Orfist

Only recently, we took a closer look at the Stand Up Decksets of Favrneel and Gramgrace. Both Decksets gave some love and attention to two Vanguards that were hard to acquire. Both sets also came with quite a few goodies, as well as Deckset-exclusive cards. The last of the three Decksets will probably need no introduction, as it’s the one that revolves around Cardinal Dominus, Orfist Regis. Orfist has always been a popular Vanguard, but it was hard to find as it was only released back in 2022 in that year’s Festival Collection.

Just like the other two Stand Up Decksets, Orfist’s Deckset comes with a sturdy cardboard box to store your cards, as well as a good-looking deck box and Orfist-themed sleeves. This means that you won’t need any additional supplies to start playing while also protecting your valued Cardfight!! Vanguard cards. You’ll once again get a competitive deck that you can just play out of the box. There are also a few additional cards present that allow you to customize your ready-to-play deck.

Cardinal Dominus, Orfist Regis, is all about dishing out additional attacks during your turn. Not only can you add a World card from your Drop to the Order Zone, but when attacking, you can pay the cost and summon additional Shadow Army Tokens to the field. This is of course dependent on how many World cards you have in your Order Zone. The deck has many support cards that grant you additional effects when another unit is called over it. This means that for example, when calling your Shadow Army Token over Cardinal Draco, Nuvorea, you get an additional Shadow Army Token you can call to the field because of Nuvorea’s effect. This allows you to make very strong columns for additional attacks. Polarxis Dragon is the Deckset-exclusive card for Orfist, and it grants you the ability to get a World card from your Drop Zone, and when it is retired during your battle phase, you may draw a card. The latter is similar to how Nuvorea works, where it triggers an ability when it is retired.

All in all, the three new Decksets are a lot of fun to work with, and they allow avid Cardfight!! Vanguard players to play with a competitive deck, without having to browse through many different sets in order to acquire the necessary cards. We are looking forward to the new Stride Decksets that are going to be released in the near future.
