Cover athletes announced for the NBA 2K23 WNBA edition
Today, 2K has announced that five-time Olympic gold medalists Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird will share a place on the cover of the special NBA 2K23 WNBA Edition. This NBA 2K23 WNBA Edition will be exclusively available for purchase at GameStop in the US and Canada. It will be the second cover in the NBA 2K franchise that features WNBA athletes. At the moment, they share this privilege with Michael Jordan, who is featured on the cover of the NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition and the NBA 2K23 Championship Edition. Tomorrow, we’ll be getting another announcement for another important athlete who will shine on the cover of NBA 2K23.
To honor Sue Bird’s and Diana Taurasi’s yearlong effort for equal chances for female athletes, NBA 2K donates $100.000 to Every Kid Sports which grants children the opportunity to take part in youth basketball programs throughout the country. This will cover the subscription money for over 550 girls that come from families with lower incomes so they can still have fun and prove their worth on the basketball court.
