Gotham Knights receives two new modes today!
It seemed like only yesterday that we reviewed Gotham Knights, but Warner Bros. Games and DC have already released two entirely new modes for the game: Heroic Assault and Showdown. Both are now available as a free update for all owners of the main game. Heroic Assault is an online co-op mode where players can team up in groups of four and venture into the depths beneath Gotham City to take on enemies and complete challenges on 30 action-packed floors. As seen in the recently released trailer, the mode features a new threat causing mayhem: the highly advanced alien life form Starro, the Conqueror, and the fearsome half-man/half-bat hybrid Man-Bat, under Starro’s control.
Meanwhile, Showdown is a two-player online co-op mode in which you confront superpowered versions of the game’s main DC supervillains, such as Mr Freeze, Harley Quinn, Clayface, and Talia al Ghul. Defeat these bosses in Showdown mode and receive new legendary equipment blueprints and unique suit and Batcycle colours for each defeated enemy. Heroic Assault and Showdown are separate online co-op modes, accessible as a free update for everyone that owns the game. Heroic Assault mode is available when players reach Dossier 05 in the main campaign. Showdown mode is unlocked once they defeat the boss of each main villain in the dossier. Gotham Knights is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series XIS.
