Lords of the Fallen reveals new gameplay trailer
Great news today as HEXWORK just released an eighteen-minute extended trailer filled with new gameplay footage for their upcoming reboot of the Lords of the Fallen franchise. This trailer features commentary from the developer as well showing off the parallel worlds, fast-paced combat, seamless co-op functionality and the game’s diverse and harrowing environments.
One aspect where the trailer goes into detail is the uninterrupted co-op feature. Players can now visit an in-game rest point and invite another player to their game. This can be a friend or any random person who feels brave enough to join in. This co-op companion will stay at your side for as long as they desire. Another new gameplay element is the ability to craft your own vestiges, which are the resting points that can summon said companions. Doing so can be proven to be quite tricky as it requires an extremely rare resource and the building locations are very select.
The gameplay trailer also shows the fully revised combat system. Thanks to this system players are now able to seamlessly interweave melee, magic and ranged attacks to overcome their opponent. Another new feature is the ability to map up to four additional magic or ranged skills to the controller for immediate access. Not only will this provide a greater combat variety, but also the ability to string together an almost endless number of combos.
Lords of the Fallen will launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 13th, 2023.Want to learn more about the game and the special editions? Then please check out our other news article.
